We are thrilled to announce that PET futures have officially been listed, a significant development for both Wankai and the PET industry as a whole. This milestone provides greater market transparency, price stability, and enhanced risk management tools for our customers. By offering more predictable pricing, we aim to further strengthen our leadership in the global PET resin market.

2. Global Expansion: Strengthening Our Global Network

In 2024, one of our most exciting accomplishments was the ongoing construction of a new PET resin production facility in Nigeria. This strategic investment enables us to better meet the growing demand for high-quality PET resin in Africa, ensuring a reliable supply chain once operational.

We are also expanding our footprint in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Indonesia—regions crucial to the global PET resin industry. Our presence in these areas allows us to improve service quality and contribute to the development of local industries.

Through close engagement with customers across Africa, Southeast Asia, and South Asia, we are gaining valuable insights into regional market needs, strengthening relationships with local partners, and positioning ourselves for continued success.

3. Upstream Integration: Boosting Production Efficiency

This year, Wankai made a strategic investment in upstream integration with the launch of a 1.2 million-ton MEG production plant. Powered by cleaner natural gas, this facility ensures a stable supply of Monoethylene Glycol (MEG), boosting PET resin production efficiency and reducing overall costs.

This investment aligns with our commitment to sustainability, as it helps reduce emissions and minimize our reliance on traditional energy sources, supporting a more eco-friendly future.

4. Sustainability at the Core: Greener, Smarter, and More Efficient

At Wankai, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. In 2024, we made significant strides in integrating renewable energy solutions and cutting-edge digital technologies to make our production processes greener and more efficient.

Key initiatives include the integration of solar power to reduce our reliance on non-renewable energy, alongside waste heat recovery and wastewater recycling efforts, which have optimized production and minimized waste. These efforts play a crucial role in our journey toward a sustainable future for PET resin production.

We are also exploring advanced chemical recycling technologies to achieve higher-purity bottle-to-bottle recycling.
