Wankai New Materials: Supporting Sustainable Growth in the Polyester Industry

As a long-standing participant in China's polyester sector, Wankai New Materials has focused on high-quality bottle-grade PET production for over twenty years. Through continuous improvements in energy efficiency, process optimization, and responsible manufacturing practices, Wankai strives to support global customers in building stable, reliable, and more sustainable polyester supply chains.

Under its long-term development strategy, Wankai is strengthening its engagement in global sustainability initiatives, contributing to the advancement of environmentally responsible materials and industrial innovation.

Collaboration with Carbios

During the forum, Wankai shared updates on its cooperation with Carbios, a French biotechnology company known for its enzymatic PET recycling innovation. The two companies are working together to promote the industrial demonstration of this technology in China.

This collaboration aims to link frontier scientific innovation with practical industrial implementation, supporting the broader development of circular economy solutions across the polyester value chain.

As Wankai Director Zengming Qiu noted:

"Circularity is not simply repetition—it is evolution. When French scientific innovation meets Chinese industrial capability, new possibilities emerge for the global circular economy."

Advancing International Collaboration for a Sustainable Future

The company will continue to support initiatives that strengthen environmental responsibility, material innovation, and long-term industrial progress.
