Announcement: Revision of Peak Temperature when Melting from Testing Method Modifications for Bottle-Grade PET (polyethylene terephthalate) Resins

We are pleased to inform you of an important update to our product specifications regarding the peak temperature when melting of our bottle-grade PET chips. Our detection method for melting point has been revised to ensure consistency, leading to a slight adjustment in the reported melting point values. Crucially, these modifications do not imply any changes to the product itself.

 

Details of the Update:

- The revised peak temperature when melting values will be officially effective for all products as of January 1, 2024, and will be reflected in our Certificate of Analysis (COA) reports.

- The following products will be affected by the changes, as detailed below:

  - WK-801 and WK-801L: Peak temperature when melting updated from 244±2 to 247±2

  - WK-811 and WK-811L: Peak temperature when melting updated from 249±2 to 251±2

  - WK-781: Peak temperature when melting updated from 243±2 to 245±2

  - WK-821: Peak temperature when melting updated from 242±2 to 245±2

  - WK-881: Peak temperature when melting updated from 242±2 to 244±2

  - WK-851: Peak temperature when melting updated from 242±2 to 245±2

  - WK-901: Peak temperature when melting updated from 237±2 to 240±2

 

Reason for the Update:

To ensure consistency in our testing methods, we have made adjustments to the melting point detection method. These adjustments have resulted in some variations in the test values. Consequently, we have updated the value of peak temperature when melting to address this.

- It is important to note that these changes are solely due to adjustments in the testing method and do not reflect any changes in the formulation or manufacturing processes of our product. We continue to use the same raw materials and production techniques to ensure the consistent quality and performance of our product.
