Wankai Elevates PET Quality Control with In-Depth Skills Competition

The Quality Control (QC) department plays a crucial role in our daily operations. Our rigorous testing procedures encompass raw materials, finished PET resin, and other critical components, all aimed at meeting the highest quality standards. 

We have established stringent quality metrics to guide our efforts, including maintaining a monitoring data error rate below 0.2%, achieving a 100% equipment inspection rate, and ensuring that all testing personnel are fully certified. Furthermore, we strive to keep report delay rates under 0.5%, and our goal is to achieve a 100% complaint handling rate along with a 95% customer satisfaction rate. These benchmarks are vital for ensuring the reliability and excellence of our products and building long-lasting trust and support from our clients.

Building on the success of last year’s competition, which focused on material handling and packaging operations, this year’s event was tailored to address quality control specifically. The two-week competition engaged all employees in the QC department, who were divided into six teams. The aim was to elevate both practical and theoretical knowledge while reinforcing our commitment to quality.

The competition featured a combination of on-site practical tasks and theoretical exams. Practical tasks were designed to reflect the specific responsibilities of each role within the QC department, ensuring that the assessments were directly relevant to daily operations. The theoretical component covered a broad range of topics, including fundamental analytical chemistry, quality management principles, and CNAS requirements. This comprehensive approach provided a thorough evaluation of participants' knowledge and skills, highlighting their proficiency and expertise in quality control.

Throughout the competition, participants demonstrated remarkable composure, adaptability, and adherence to standardized procedures. Their robust professional skills underscored Wankai’s rigorous approach to quality control and our steadfast commitment to excellence. The awards ceremony, held on September 2, celebrated the achievements of the winners and marked the successful conclusion of this important event.
