Driving Quality Forward: A Look Back at Wankai's September Quality Month Activities

2024-09-25
In the pursuit of exceptional polyethylene terephthalate (PET) quality, Wankai New Materials Co., Ltd. consistently upholds a fair, scientific, precise, and efficient quality policy, strictly adhering to the ISO9001 quality management system in the research, development, production, and service of PET resin.

In September, the company reflected on the quality center's achievements and identified goals for further improvement. Moreover, Wankai promoted innovation and knowledge sharing through QCC activities and conducted internal quizzes to foster a culture of excellence.

The quality testing center, accredited by CNAS since 2014, is equipped with over 128 advanced testing instruments from the U.S. and Switzerland. This infrastructure ensures high reliability and efficiency in raw material acceptance, water quality testing, production monitoring, finished product inspection, and R&D, comprehensively safeguarding product quality and ensuring that each batch meets industry standards and customer expectations.

To enhance quality awareness, standardize management practices, and foster a culture of quality throughout the organization, Wankai launched a series of activities for Quality Month in September, themed “Crafting Dreams with Dedication, Thriving the Enterprise with Action.” These initiatives aim to deepen employees' understanding of the significance of quality management while promoting proactive engagement in quality improvement efforts.

On September 9, Wankai held the 2024 Annual Quality Conference, during which the quality center presented a comprehensive overview of our quality strategy and reviewed performance and management efforts from January to August 2024. Representatives from various production and business departments engaged in in-depth discussions about existing quality challenges and potential improvement measures. Senior leadership further clarified the focus and direction of future quality initiatives, providing clear objectives and goals for all employees to strive for.

Following the conference, Wankai recognized outstanding teams from the Quality Control Circle (QCC) for their significant contributions. These teams achieved remarkable results in areas such as improving PET preform haze through self-inspection, enhancing the stability of the recovery rate in PETG monomer testing, and refining the color of finished products. The QCC is not merely a project or tool; it embodies a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, empowering employees to actively engage in quality enhancement while fostering cross-departmental cooperation and knowledge sharing.

To strengthen the quality culture, Wankai encouraged employees to actively participate in Quality Month activities by displaying well-designed posters throughout the office. This initiative promoted essential quality knowledge, relevant laws and regulations, and the company's quality policies, further enhancing employees' quality awareness and providing deeper insights into the quality management objectives.

Additionally, the online quiz during Quality Month attracted numerous enthusiastic participants, sparking a keen interest in learning about quality principles, understanding company quality requirements, and engaging in quality initiatives. The interactive nature of these activities significantly deepened employees' appreciation for quality management, helping to integrate a quality-first mindset into their daily routines.

The successful conclusion of this Quality Month not only improved Wankai’s quality management practices but also instilled a strong quality-first mentality among all employees. Moving forward, Wankai will remain dedicated to continuously enhancing the quality of our PET resin, earning the trust and support of our valued customers through our unwavering commitment to excellence.
